Leading the way with carbon-neutral production since 2023.

Rauman Konepaja Oy is strongly committed to being responsible for the environment and we keep trying to reduce the effects our work has on nature. In 2022, our business made about 40 tons of CO2 gas (GHG scope 1 and 2), with a big part coming from heating our buildings. But we have taken clear steps to make up for these gases and from 2023, we will make up for all the CO2 gases our work makes.

Working with a trustworthy local partner, we have promised to make up for our gases by planting forests where peat was once made. This is not just making up for gases, but also helping forests grow the right way. The forests we plant and take care of are certified by PEFC, which makes sure the forests are taken care of and grow properly. Our partner also promises to replace any damaged forests by planting new trees where old ones were hurt.

We are proud of our choice to use energy that is completely free of CO2. Changes in the cost of energy are hard, but we are ready to put money into a clean future.
